Reported Crop Circles for the State of Iowa -

Nevada, Story County (October 8, 1996)

A slightly ovoid, 30' diameter circle with a twisted upright center, and a 3.5' ring in nearly-dry soybeans was discovered swirled counterclockwise with the seeds still in the pods. An 'echo' of this formation appeared the following year in the same spot but in corn. 8-10 BOL’s were reported flying in a row above the field the night before the formation was discovered.

About a week later, on the same farm, but in corn, a 35' "teardrop"-shaped formation was discovered also swirled counterclockwise.

A search of the area revealed two more 15’ diameter 'teardrop' formations in alfalfa on adjoining land.

There were no tramlines in any of the three fields; no signs of human entry into the formations when discovered; all three fields were adjacent but had different crops.

Eyewitness report only.
